Located in Auckland CBD, on the corner of Mayoral Drive and Wakefield Street, the site is
strategically positioned at the centre of the AUT City Campus. One block east of Queen Street,
it is less than a five-minute walk to the future City Rail Link (CRL) Aotea Train Station.

The Mixed-Use Development contains 641 self-catered student apartments across two towers,
with ground floor dedicated to retail, hospitality and student amenities. In addition, a new laneway and
plaza will be created to allow pedestrian traffic and provide an amenity to AUT students and the occupants
of the surrounding offices.

The AUT Podium will comprise a ground level fitness centre and basketball court, with a
mezzanine fitness area above. A three-level commercial space, for AUT to use as a Health and
Wellness facility to combine several key student care services into one building.

The development program was envisaged by Development Advisory Services in 2017. Key
leases, resource consents, and land acquisition were managed by DASL prior to the sale of the
development to an international investor in student accommodation, Cedar Pacific – a company
that owns several student accommodation facilities in Australia and NZ. Construction is due to
complete at the end of 2020 with the facility ready for students in the first semester of 2021.
